Charles Arnold, founder of Patrick Leigh Fermor Society

This is a very belated announcement to inform those who do not yet know, that Charles Arnold, the driving force behind the PLF Society, died on 17 December 2018 following a short illness.

There is little more to say at this stage as the remaining members of the Society board try to sort out affairs.

I wonder if I might suggest that PLF’s fascinating piece “Cave Voices”, published by the PLF Society, deserves a wider readership. Perhaps the Times Literary Supplement might welcome it?

    Yours sincerely

Hi Martin. I’m trying to gather in all the PLF Soc articles and will get them a wider audience.
