With the late Sir Patrich Liegh Fermor we were close friends for almost fifty years. He had send to me all his books inscribed with friendly dedications.I have also from Paddy many letters and cards as well as most of his speeches reffering to the Battle of Crete and various other occasions which I had translated into Greek as he wanted to say them in Greek. He was very kind enough to write an introduction to the english text of my book ” Lawrence Durrell in Kalamata – (Setember 1940-April 19410) ” . I have also a lot of other mementos ,sent to me by Paddy i.e.newspapers and magazines with his articles and books for which he had written introductions.
